In a unexpected collaboration that challenges usual predictions, the game developer has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Disclosed

According to the formal release, "An unusual encounter pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome metamorphoses reverberate through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a clandestine cult.

The mission concentrates on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous foe" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Changes

The teaser highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser finishes with a dramatic moment showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Rewards and Additional Material

Players who accomplish the quest will receive an unique katana together with multiple items secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Third Free Story Addition
