Real Madrid's winger Offers Apology to Real Madrid Supporters

Vinicius Jr in action

The attacker has netted 5 goals in 10 domestic competition outings during the current campaign.

The Madrid giants winger Vinicius Jr has said sorry to fans for his reaction when taken off in Sunday's heated El Clasico win.

He was replaced in the 72nd min and expressed his disappointment by going straight off the pitch.

Vinicius eventually reappeared to the sidelines and, following his club's 2-1 victory, attempted to approach Barcelona's Lamine Yamal during unpleasant final whistle exchanges.

"This day I want to say sorry to all the Madridistas for my behavior when I was substituted in the derby," Vinicius wrote on X.

"Similarly to I have already done during the latest training, I wish to express regret anew to my colleagues, the team, and the president.

"At times fervor overcomes me because I always want to win and support my side. My winning mentality comes from the affection I feel for this team and each thing it stands for."

The player joined Real from Brazil in the year 2018 for millions and has scored over a century of strikes in 335 appearances.

But his career in the Madrid is far from certain with speculation in recent months stating that Los Blancos would contemplate allowing the player move on if they obtained a suitable offer.

When he was substituted on that day, TV coverage from coverage provider the service recorded him remarking: "It's always me! I'm leaving the team! It's better if I go, I'm moving on."

In his latest message on X, the athlete stated: "I promise to keep striving at all times for the welfare of Los Blancos, as I have done since the first day."
